Browser comparison: screen shots of the same page in two mainstream browsers
On this page: Modern browsers are much more consistent in how they display the page, as long as it's properly coded
As you can see, apart from the way the fonts are aliased, Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 do a pretty similar job of rendering the same page. (If the code was not valid, or a doctype declaration was missing, there would probably be more variation between the two.)
